Aww, thanks guys! I have to say that I’ve been very impressed with all of the Banderas’ babies I’ve seen so far!
I have a sale pending on the above colt now and am very pleased to have a mare confirmed in foal to Banderas for next year!

After seeing that colt I would have definitely done a rebreed.:yes: And kept that breeding as long as the foals turned out that well.

Sadly it is not the same mare. That mare has developed arthritis in a pastern from an old pasture injury and I did not think it fair to ask her to carry another foal until I can get her more comfortable. We will be doing stem-cell therapy on her and I hope to be able to breed her again next spring if the treatment goes well.
The mare that is in foal to him is very similiar in type and has a similiar sire-line as the above mare. She also produced a premium colt and Foal of Distinction award winner through GOV (when bred to Mezcalero) so I am excited to see her Banderas foal next year!
I will be breeding my mare back to Banderas. I am very pleased with the cross judging from this year’s foal, Faust NSN, pictured below at almost three weeks of age. He has an easy temperament too!
