Barbaro is not out of the woods yet with Laminitis, but because two weeks have passed, his bloodwork is great (no more infection) and his heart rate are consistantly normal, I feel so much better.
The more time that can be put between the Laminitis and today, the better!!!

Loved the poems, made me cry, and as I said, am not a horse person (tho’ any time you look in their eyes, you’d be lieing to say you d/n WANT to be a horse person,) but do truly care about a horse person who cried @ work today about a human - think I’ll send her the poems - to give her the strength she needs, as she visits her gelding arabian this weekend (I consoled her 5 yrs ago when she had to put her 18 yr mare down from colic.)

VB, so many thanks for continues posts, I do not know where I would be without them! I hope The Jacksons know how much everyone cares about their little pony. Glad he has stabilized and is holding his own. Go Barbaro! It is genuinely sad for me to watch how beautiful he ran for he no longer will but hopefully he will frolic in fields one day and have little Barbaro’s running around. I understand the Jackson’s own his brother, is that correct?

Update 327: Another comfortable night for Barbaro last night (thursday night). I was coming onto the wood chip track this morning (inside the dirt track) and saw Michael on Messaging (overseeing some breezes) about 1/16th of a mile from the gap to the right. I was supposed to back up (jog to the left) but changed things arund a little in order to get the update! Michael had heard from Dr. Richardson, who said Bobby was still lying down (good sign) when he visited this morning.

I am intrigued. Being a newby to the racing forum since B’s accident, I am not familiar with many things discussed here. I am fascinated that you apparently are exercising several race horses each morning? Fascinating…I feel like I’m in the middle of a reality show sometimes reading the updates…seeing ultra famous names mentioned (trainers and horses) and see that we all are just normal folks trying to get by loving our equine friends.

If you go back a few pages you will see that Alex from Tim Woolley racing is a bud of mine and he allows me to post his blog here. That’s why I am constantly thanking he and Tim for the updates. If you read my very first post, you will see that this thread is for factual updates and posts. Alex has been on this site several times, and has e-mailed me to keep it up, so I have! I try to include several good articles I run across, along the way.

As far as the poster who wanted to know where Barbaro would stand, I do believe Three Chimneys was to stand him there.
Another day starting off with a good report on Bobby. The 2 weeks with good news is just wonderful. I think he knows how many of us are out there pulling for him. I have to believe all the positive energy is helping. Can’t wait for the Barbaro bracelets. Alex and VB thanks as always - you make us all part of the family. Hang in there Bobby…
I know these are ultra famous people but they are still just people, so they think the way we do. If they are surrounded by crowds it’s overwhelming but if they are doing their day to day thing and people they already know help spread the word then it’s a good thing. Orderly gatherings in support I believe are appreciated, such as a candlelight vigil and these exchange of thoughts and well wishes. It’s just great that people care and yet those of us that are geographically close still choose not to harass them so they feel safe. Yet I would help if I were needed so they know that thanks to VB. I just can’t imagine how I could help but you never know. I think the best way I can help is when I go to places where Michael Matz has been just an hour before I can tell the business owners to let him know that people are asking and care just as it’s done in this forum. That’s why this thread is so important, it keeps their spirits up. Just my opinion.
Ah so…thank you for clearing that up…but you at least know Alex so you can get first hand info! That’s a WOW in my book:lol:! As a child I used to dream about exercising all the race horses and used to pretend I was riding Secretariat as I “cantered” around the back yard. Too bad I grew into a 5’8" - 195 lbs (on a good day) adult! We can always live our dreams in our imagination though can’t we? :yes:
