Thanks Lex. I was confident that Taylor would release Michael to Florida after this hearing. Michael had already proved to him that he would stand up to the bully and none of the case law supported what Taylor was doing or his justifications. I don’t think it’ll be much longer until he can’t justify denying a full release either.

This is just the best news we never thought we would hear! So happy for Michael and those closest to him. I am sure being in the barn with the horses will be good for his soul. Wishing him nothing but the best going forward. 
It’s something we’ve wondered about for years here, but do you see either of those things happening? It’s infuriating that Taylor continues to flout the law because he doesn’t agree with the verdict.
There are clear and also subtle indications that he may have had some oversight or guiding influence from someone above his station, during the initial trial and subsequent court appearances dealing with the custody and treatment, but there are also indications that he is painfully aware of the unfavorable public opinion and scrutiny that the trial has generated for himself and Schellhorn. That being said, it looks like he’s - lately - been trying to ride out the waves and only do what he thinks he can get away with doing, so I think we can be hopeful that the trend will continue, unless some external force or arranged series of events changes things in favor of Taylor and Schellhorn.
Where are you all seeing the outcome? It sounds good!
News is spreading through the online horse community and social networks, from those who were there in support of Michael and Lara. I suspect that there will be news stuff from outlets in the next 3-4 days, as well as a personal update on the GoFundMe.

I’d guess he’d be there by Monday.
It’s difficult and expensive to go back and forth, so it could be some time before he leaves NJ entirely. I would imagine that most of his stuff was already moved to FL, while he was incarcerated, which means it should not be hard to make the jump once things are lined up and arranged.
I am so happy to hear that Michael can go to Florida.

As well as celebrating our long Labor Day weekend, we should all also celebrate Michael Barisone’s hard work, resulting in today’s court decision.
Kudos to Michael, Lara Osborne, his attorneys, doctors and those who have remained his steadfast friends and supporters throughout the last five years.
This is a lesson for all of us. When people tell you who they are, believe them (Maya Angelou).

Amazing news on a Friday. It’s been a long 5 years. Has it really been 5 years or is my memory off?
We have seen, on this forum, the moral fiber/character of most of the Kan Klan, including the dog. What a crazy ride it’s been. (Pun intended)
