Barisone Krol Hearing-Release to FL Given

Just wanted to let you all know that Michael has a Krol hearing scheduled for Friday, August 30 at 11 a.m. at the Morris County Courthouse in Morristown, New Jersey. The hearing will be on the fourth floor in Judge Taylor’s courtroom.

There is a parking garage less than a block away, and it is easy to get to the courthouse from there. If you are interested in attending, and want to meet up, reach out to me through PM.

I have said it here before, and will say it again- if this can happen to Michael Barisone, it can happen to any of us. It has been a long 5 years for Michael, and I am sure he will appreciate any continued support you can offer.

I suspect the date and time was chosen with an expectation of a low turn out. Given the time of the hearing it appears that it is expected to not last long, of course I believe the judge has already made his mind up that this will continue until 2030 when he retires

Friday is the typical hearing day in the NJ court system. Motions are heard in the morning and other items after. Since this is a criminal judge, he probably has trials and other trial related hearings during the week. Civil judges schedule case management conferences and other hearings during the week and hear motions on Fridays as well.

The court date was chosen in consideration for the attorneys, who had other scheduling conflicts, as well as for the fact that the date was within or close to the 45 days from the last Krol hearing, as recommended by Michael’s doctor, who testified.

What this out of control judge might do makes me worried. I have all kinds of outcomes running through my imagination, but I hope today is freedom for Michael.

Michael is now allowed to leave NJ and can reside in FL or NJ, but he has to return to NJ for all subsequent hearings or a bench warrant will be issued for his detainment and extradition.

As many as Taylor wants, until he gets slapped from a higher Judicial authority or realizes he’s about to hit a wall that will result in problems for his future stewardship as a Judge.
