That dog is the size of my dog, who is 45lbs. I call BS on 20-ish lbs.
My favorite quote so far – when RG said that Michael convinced them to come up to NJ to train because “North Carolina is where dressage dreams go to die” (I’m in NC)
he reminds me of David Berkowitz
Wasn’t that said by Inigo?
There’s also a “guilty, but insane” possibility- but not sure if that’s available in NJ.
Man, I wish my hubby would do all my wrapping and other farm chores for me!
Notice he switched to “I” when talking about the work, even with the horses?
Yes
I wonder what JK, who pays the bills, thinks about all this “we owned a horse overseas” stuff.
Agreed. If those are standard railings, that dog is bigger than mine. My dog, who is VERY fit and a little racy, is 40#.
The hunting dogs, same height but even racier, are 35#.
oohh yes possibly. I may have gotten that wrong.
I can’t answer for Bilinkas, but my guess is that he didn’t have a lot of information at the start, when a response was required. If his correct doesn’t remember what happened, he doesn’t have a lot of ability to respond in the beginning. If mb didn’t know/remember what he did, it’s harder to mount a traditional not guilty defense. The affirmative defenses seem reasonable given the truth is not at all clear.
Again, the jury can come back with a not guilty bc self defense and no finding about the mental side of things. That would be the end of it, mb walks. Or not guilty bc mental defect and mb goes to forensic unit of mh hospital to serve his sentence. Or some other sentence decision, like guilty.
Edited:Typos, you wound me!
Yeah, that’s why TIEC is here!!
I do not believe the jury in NJ has the authority to find guilty on a lesser charge, it is all or nothing.
However I am not an attorney in the state of NJ and that could be wrong.
Is he licensed to do all this work?
I can’t wait until we get to HIS injury.
Nope
The defense entered “not guilty by insanity and self defense.” I was confused by that at first and thought it was “or” but Bilinkas had to explain it to the judge that a not guilty by “insanity” was required to be stated as “insanity and self defense” in NJ. That was at an earlier hearing.
Highlights of Robert Goodwin direct examination 1:55 - 2:20 pm:
Background on LK, how he met MB, etc. MB convinced them to come train with him because “NC is where dressage goes to die.”
Confirms living situation at farm summer of 2018, farm layout, size of dog Rosie (~25 lbs, new photo shown). Summer of 2019 moved to top floor due to flooding from burst pipe. Basement floor was pretty much gutted. Main floor was semi-gutted. 2nd floor pretty much untouched because pipe was in floor below.
RG helped care for horses all the time. Aug 2019 “we had 4 horses” on the property. Original two were $2500 per horse. Third one bought from MB. 4th was in trade for work RG was doing on farm. Mare Symphony had chronic cellulitis, which RG would wrap almost every night and remove in the morning.
RG helped with improvements around farm to give it more of a “wow factor.” Photos shown of house with water damage and construction in progress. Photos and discussion of work RG did in barn (mostly in 2018) and house in 2019. Did some electrical work to add stalls, chandeliers, LED lighting in barn. MB directed what improvements were done.
