Barn drama - crazy barn owner addition

Just in case @Impractical Horsewoman doesn’t get back to explain herself in a timely manner, I’ll hazard a guess that she meant “The description by the OP” instead of what she posted, “The description of the OP”.

In this context, it’s possible to read “of” and “by” as having the same meaning. That is, as referring to the OP’s statement about the BO/BM. It’s just that in that sentence, reading “of” as referring to the OP’s statement, not the OP herself, not common English usage.

Sorry about that, OP, and thank you @OverandOnward --edited and fixed that in my post. Yes, I was referring to the barn owner, and the fact that the barn owner (not the horse owner) sounded like a number of BOs I’ve known–knowledgeable and experienced with horses yet completely unable to communicate or discuss things with humans without amping things up to the maximum level of confrontation (or just ignoring the issue completely, if it involved the human side of things).

i boarded at Golden Gate Park Stables for many years, it was very expensive with subpar food and care. I was there for the convenience of it all as i lived and worked in SF. Barn managers were unconcerned about the boarders and much more concerned with their riding academy and students. I always picked up the slack and re-cleaned my own stall/fed additional nutrition and exercised my own horses. Managers were not drama-oriented, just basically, not that interested. Not difficult to get along with at all. Not unless you wanted more than they offered. I was fine taking care of my horse’s ‘extras’…including new flooring in the stall, new mats every couple of years, cleaning the walls/repainting. Having plumber come and install and upkeep the auto waterer. No drama. But…omg talk about CRAZY!! But the crazy was not the management, it was the great-unwashed-public who were constantly afoot. And riding daily in a public park was not for the weak-of-heart either LOL. I once brought in a recently gelded HOT Morgan. He came from a Morgan farm waaay out in quiet rural country. I knew he’d love the stim, and he did! They all thought i was nuts bringing in such a wild guy, but it was just what he needed…plenty to look at, plenty to do. That was back in the day when i was much younger and much more adventurous
