This would be for a three sided run in shed. It’s not very big, 16 x 12 maybe, but a couple of the horses like to hang out in there in front of the fan when it gets too hot. Currently there is a box fan in there but it’s making me nervous, so I’m going to buy an enclosed motor fan to put out there.

I’d like to get a thermo cube to plug it into as well.

Which one would you choose? I’m thinking either of them will stir the air around enough to keep the flies off.

I’m not familiar with either of these fan brands but I do have a couple of 18” basket fans from Ramm Fence that are great. The horses love them.

I have the durafan in 18” and it throws a lot of wind. Not that noisy in the Grand scheme

I have 5 of the 18” durafans. Been up a couple years and run continuously from May to September. They put out a good amount of air and noise is tolerable even with that many running. Bonus is I just hose the dust off them periodically no need to take them down.

I just bought and installed 2 of the DuraFans from the Valley Vet. Hasn’t been crazy hot here yet but they move a lot of air and are quiet. I think one would work well for 12x16. I have one per 12x12 stall.

I was looking at the 14" durafan just to save a little money but I think the 18" may be better for the run in. They have one with wider spacing on the guard that’s the same price as the 14. Since it will be hung from the rafters I may get that one. Less room for dust to gather. Lol
