I’m new to the Atlanta area, and I’m looking to dip my toe into the equestrian scene. I was quite competitive as a Junior rider and all through college (medals, rode for my school’s IHSA team). I’m looking for somewhere to lesson and maybe eventually lease a horse. I know it’s a tall order, but I’m looking for a lesson program that caters to more experienced riders. I don’t know if I have the time to lease or own right now, and I was hoping to start with a lesson program and maybe graduate to leasing a horse.
I’ve contacted a few barns and they typically have been full training / boarding only. Does anyone have recommendations for barns where I could lesson? Appreciate any pointers! Thank you.
