I know this isn’t really a horse question, but I was curious to see other’s opinions. We are putting bougainvilleas up on the back of our barn, we were going to do either the yellow or pink. I’m really bad with this stuff and just wanted to see what other’s would pick if it was there barn - thanks!
How pretty! The pink would be a nice contrast.
I think the pink would be nice - I’d be worried the yellow would pull too much yellow from the wood and make it all look the same color. The pink is a nice contrast.
I’m sort of crazy and would likely do both. Are they safe to have around roving horses teeth?
Are these some sort of bush bougainvilleas? Because otherwise they will need a lattice or trellis support, which you may have already planned. Mine are beasts to prune; I practically wear a shark suit because of those thorns. Maybe something evergreen?
Definitely the pink. I think the yellow is too close to the color of your barn. Both very pretty, though.
The pink for sure! The yellow I think would be too close to your barn color, it would be too muted.
Pink! And your barn is gorgeous!
Pink! But I’m biased. I once rode at a facility where the wall separating it from the road was completely draped in pink bougainvillea. Good memories.
Pink bougainvillea tends to be healthier too said my Florida landscaper.
Thank you for all of your responses! We ended up going with the pink
