Barn staff Christmas advice

If you can comfortably afford the larger gifts, Go For It! :+1:
I have been tipping exorbitantly on the rare occasion I can dine in.
I feel the waitstaff are operating under stress & getting reduced tips as occupancy is restricted.
Same for takeout, where I can, some franchise drive-thrus cannot accept tips.

Considering the hard times, I think you are kind —My ma grew up with “help” --she had rules for gifts on all occasions (always cash). As I recall it was one week’s pay for each year worked. I tend to follow that for the barn help I have --but then, none ever work more than 4 years as I kick them out of the nest when they graduate from HS.

If you’re comfortable with that amount, do it! I’m sure they’ll all be very appreciate of whatever you give them.

Why not? I gave my coach and farrier similar “gifts” and neither was offended, lol.

If you want to, go for it, hey it’s Christmas!
