Barns around Winston Salem

Hello everyone,

I am about to move to the Winston Salem from Florida.
I have looked online and searched this forum but the discussions are too old for me to post replies so I thought I would start my own thread
I am looking for barns around the area where I am moving, which is Clemmons, I would prefer a jumper barn but I am open to dressage or others as well since I dont own a horse right now. Ideally, I would like one that has more than one discipline. I want to keep riding probably take lessons, and if I find a job at a barn, that would be even better ( anything from barn help to rider ) I just really want to stay in touch with horses
I do have about 16 years of riding experience, learned mostly in France.
I really wish to find a good barns and good people, I found it hard to do here in Florida unfortunately, nothing close to what I used to have in France.

Anyhow, any info from everyone in the area would be greatly appreciated, good or bad. I would prefer to stay around Winston Salem for now since I am fairly new to the area, I only know how to get to Clemmons, lewisville, rural hall, greensboro and high point for now lol  It’s not too bad for someone new to North Carolina

thank you !

Peacock acres- mainly hunters. Goes to a lot of shows, has grown quite a bit over the past 2 years. In pfafftown, which is north of Clemmons…
Irish oaks- quite a large facility, has a covered arena, mainly hunters from what I remember.
hidden k stables- does eventing and some hunters. Lots of people, they have two college equestrian teams and a pony club so it’s pretty busy! Also in pfafftown
clouds harbor farm- from what I know they primarily do hunters. Don’t really hear much about them.
TTC- active eventing barn, hosts their own shows, has an XC course and their own tack shop. Also quite busy.
I can PM you if you want more info and some personal experience with some of these barns. I currently board at Deerwood farm near Clemmons but they aren’t doing lessons anymore.

Thanks HDuckie,

I received and answered your PM too

I rode with Pat and Keith for years, as a junior and amateur. They have a wonderful program!

Clouds Harbor - I’ve know Pat & Keith for over 30 years. I’m not answering this as an amateur, but as a fellow professional. They are wonderful people, knowledgeable trainers, “R” judges and incredible horsemen. You cannot find better anywhere.

Thanks so far, I will look into clouds harbor
