So, I’m currently in the market for a new saddle. Wanting to purchase locally so I can trial ride the saddle, I came across a used Barnsby Kanter dressage saddle. The serial number is C9357. Does anyone happen to know what year the C stands for? Thanks a lot in advance!
Barnsby is no longer in business. I think it may have been re-purchased by another vendor but they are no longer doing business as Barnsby.
Yeah, I called a saddle shop locally to see if they happened to know more about Barnsby serial numbers and they told me that Barnsby is no longer in business. It was purchased by a woman from a tack shop back in 2013 so it’s an older Barnsby. I’m just trying to find out what year it was made.
Try checking with Ideal. I saw on another forum that they have the Barnsby serial numbers. Here is the website: http://www.idealsaddle.com/
My first saddle for my dressage horse was a Barnsby Kanter. I really liked it and was very sad when he outgrew it. That is the only warning I would give - the tree isn’t adjustable.
