What is the feedback on these saddles ? I like the sound of the mono flap for close contact and the adjustable knee block. I currently have an Isabel (older saddle) and feel too restricted. Was wondering whether i upgrade to the Innova as the seat is more open? Who has ridden in these ? and feedback please.
My 2 cents…Sat in one and found the twist way too wide, especially for a mono. The leather was just ok, I really didn’t like the panel length for short coupled horses. Ended up getting a Custom with pony panels instead.
I tried one - tried a friends’ small thigh block and loved, loved, loved it. Couldn’t find one (used), except with the big block - the seat was still great, but the block was - big enough to carve a cave in and create a 2nd tack room. Seriously, hideously too big.
The seat is nicely balanced and much more open then the Isabelle. The twist is medium - so if you like a narrow twice, be aware of that. The panels (with Cair) are pretty straight, so it won’t fit all horse types. They were shorter then the Isabelle panels though, which I thought were a bit too gussetted for a shorter backed horse. Still a gusseted panel, so not for the super-short coupled horse.
It has been several years, so that is really what I remember. If I could have found a small block version, I would have bought it. My horse liked it too.
