Seems like I heard that there is a hunter pace at Bear Creek Farms September 25th, but I cannot find any information. Does anyone have any info?
Thanks.

yep- go to www.atlantasteeplechase.org and click on the hunter pace info tab in the upper right hand corner- the closing date was friday but call jean bird and she may just let you in!
the hunter paces there are fabulous- great footing and great coops
Thanks for the link! I am hoping to make it if they allow for late entries.

They are usually quite accommodating if you just call or e-mail the organizer directly. Going riding in Bear Creek’s country is most definitely worthwhile! Lovely setup, nicely organized for the hunter paces.
Jean at Atlanta Steeplechase was fabulous about still allowing entries; however, my two possible teammates cannot go. I’ll survive, especially since I have an endurance ride the following weekend, but I am definitely keeping my eye out for any future hunter paces in the area. After 4 days at the AEC’s, I simply must ride cross-country and jump a few jumps!
There is one October 9th in Rome at the Steeplechase grounds and a fun sounding one October 30th that is a haunted hunter pace. Do you want to form a team?
Sent you an email, Spot!

Anyone elsr going tomorrow?
Anyone else like me who gets bored after and leaves before the winners are announced. I always seem to do that.
we are going! we rarely get bored after since we bring champagne and pack a lunch- you are welcome to join us! we will be in black saddle pads, brown breeches and white tops
Thanks Skip but I didn’t read this 'till I got back! Sorry I missed you. We came in just at 26 minutes. 5.05 miles - really seemed short. So many folks - a great turn out. I would like to see tham have a seperate Hilltoppers group for people with kids under 13. A “Family” Hilltoppers group since there were so many there. Loved galloping next to the creek in the cool on the sandy footing.
I was there today too! This is one of my favorite hunter paces. I went last year and had a blast and did again this year. I will be back next year too! Ya’ll may have seen me because I was the only western rider and was on a colorful bay and white paint.
