Bearing Buddies

Does anyone use these on their horse trailer? The guy I just bought tires from suggested I put them on. I guess they would allow me to add grease as necessary and no longer have to pack the bearings.

Yup. It was only about $40 to add them and it makes maintenance a lot easier.

Bearing Buddy or EZ Lube is a good idea with boat trailers that are backed in and out of the water where if any water seeps in and needs to be “pushed” back out - on a horse trailer if you are not careful you may put in too much grease, if you do and it gets out the back on your brake pads you can ruin your brakes, you should not need to add grease often and you should still re pack, replace seals and inspect your bearings as the manufacturer suggests based on time and mileage, other wise you are setting yourself up for possible failure.

Interesting, thanks!

Agree with Risa, We see a lot of EZ-Lube brake failures due to over greasing. If you’re going to do it yourself, a LITTLE BIT works. More is not necessarily better.
