Beautiful Jim Key

This Youtube video came up and I thought it was really interesting. It is unabashedly a plug for a movie to be made on the subject of a clever horse named Jim Key and his remarkable owner/breeder/trainer, Bill Key.

It left me wanting to know more about the man, Bill Key, who led a remarkable life.

There is also a book on the same subject published in 2005 and written by Mim Eichler Rivas, Beautiful Jim Key: The Lost History of a Horse and a Man Who Changed the World.

Absolutely wonderful book! Phenomenal story!

A while back (maybe 2 years?), I saw something about Morgan Freeman signing on to a movie about Jim Key, but haven’t seen anything since and figured it had not worked out. Since the date on this video is 10/24/19, it looks like the movie is still in the works.

Fingers crossed that it makes it to the theaters!

I read the book by Rivas when it first came out several years ago. It was a remarkable story.
