BEEZIE MADDEN stepping back

Shades of Flirtatious.

I would not count her out just yet. She has more than a year to come up with another horse for the Olympic team.

Best of luck to Beezie, and to Jennifer Gates with her new horse.

But will she? She said she was going in a new direction…

no she literally came out last week and said things were overblown and misunderstood and that she’s not leaving competitive riding, and still working toward the Olympics. I’m fairly certain she gave an interview to the chronicle, but I may be misremembering who recently published Beezie’s response.

That’s nice. I do love watching her ride. I think she’s a good example for the younger team riders as well.

I don’t know why people are acting like she doesn’t have a horse for the Olympics when to my knowledge, she still has both Breitling AND Garant.

I know, right? She didn’t say August 2020 was IT. The Olympics moved, I am sure she will continue with them if she wants. She is so gifted and has great horses, way more experienced than Darry Lou. Maybe we will see her and Jennifer/Darry Lou on the 2021 team. There is so much time between now and then, who can even know.

I wonder how many of the Wexner horses are for sale.

We are very lucky to have Beezie. She’s such a great example as a rider and as an example of graceful good sportsmanship.

Garant is a STAR and with another year under his belt I would not be surprised at all to see in them Tokyo

I wish Jenn and Darry Lou the very best of luck. I’ve always loved the way Jenn rides (very soft and forgiving) and I’d love to see her have some real success

. This states the timeline of the sale contract changed due to the postponement of the Olympics. I can understand how that could happen. And I also agree w others, Beezie still has some very nice horses😉

Opened in error.

I think it makes a lot of sense, now that the Olympics is postponed and DL was already sold (to be delivered to JG for after the Olympics, but the deal was already done)… to just complete the sale now. Gives Beezie additional time and cash to find other horses for the rescheduled Olympics (if that’s what she wants to do). This actually makes 100% perfect sense to me. Now that she has another year, DL should go to JG now so JG can get him into her program and Beezie should move on because DL was always gone for her after this summer.

JMS/Beezie posted that they are still going for the Olympics 2021- Breitling, Chin, and Garant are all contenders for her !

Her IG has a similar message

Why on earth does this even matter? Can’t anyone just be happy for someone for once, without looking for something to bark about?

I’m happy to see Jennifer get Darry Lou. I like how she rides, and Darry Lou will be treated as a king with her.

Congratulations all around. I wish everyone was as gracious as Beezie. I crossed paths with her at Spruce, so unbelievably nice! That’s always stuck with me.
