Looking for input on the Bemer Blanket.
What were your experiences good and bad.
I think there was just a topic on this in the HJ forum if you want to look there for replies.
Just used one this week for the first time on my mare. The bodyworker I had come out put one on before her session. She definitely benefitted from the session but I don’t know that much of that was the Bemer blanket, I suspect it was more the bodyworker, but I think the Bemer blanket probably helped warm her up and loosen her up for her to work on her a bit. Since I didn’t use it is a stand alone I can’t speak to it very well.
That said, anecdotally, I have friends that have used them and have mixed reviews. Some swear by it, some say it doesn’t really do much of anything, one friend has a mare who seems to hate it, and some that are ambivalent about it. I probably wouldn’t invest in one without trying it on my specific horse I wanted it for at least a few times either by borrowing or renting one or at least finding someone who does some body work or PEMF and has one that they use as part of a session. It seems like it is one of those things that definitely is going to be specific to each individual horse and some will get a lot more out of it than others.
