Mare is covered in hives from what I am 99% sure is from taking a nap in a pile of ants 
. She will generally easily eat tablets in some grain. Small TB, so approximately ~1,200 lb. How many 25mg tablets should she get? Is there anything to be concerned about giving benadryl? From what I have read seems safer than dex?
ETA: she is also still dealing with a corneal ulcer. In the spirit of trying every single way to injure herself 
Not the focus of your post, of course, but if you are having difficulty with getting the eye to heal, I had great luck with moving from abx to silver sulfurdiazone ointment for an ulcer that didn’t heal for WEEKS.
