Yes, unfortunately. We have the special scent for October and December lined up, so the earliest there could be an orange blossom would be February.
Badger – I’ve discussed it with Finance and Accounting, but we haven’t figured it out yet – I will let you know for sure when we do!
Hey Bensmom, any coupon codes for us addicted tack cleaners? I’d like to get a couple different scents, one for me and one for the barn!
Good question!
There aren’t any coupon codes at the moment, but I’ve done 'em before and could have one coming in the future, but I’m not sure when the next one will launch.
I do have some news though and a couple of questions for y’all.
First, I would be willing to do a bulk price on an order of 12 or more – if you are interested in that, shoot me an email and let’s talk ordering stuff.
and . . .
it is almost time for October’s limited scent!!! This scent is to be named after a wonderful OTTB and the right to name this one was one of the highest selling items in the CANTER auction! Keep your eyes on this thread over the next day or so to see the launch details!
And, and,
I need Christmas product feedback. Many of you have suggested you would buy a sampler pack – I’m leaning toward a pack of 4 or 5 – there is no way it could be affordable for you or me to do single 2 oz jars and ship them. Eventually, that might be a good product in a retail store – people might be willing to pick up a small one but shipping just one or two wouldn’t work, I don’t think.
But, I have worked already with two people on large orders and am considering putting sampler packs of 4 or 5 as a package deal on the Etsy site.
I’m also open to taking your list of gifts and making you a larger order – I am always open to discussion!
So, what would you want most to buy for your barn friends for Christmas?!
Thanks in advance!!
Libby

STOCKING STUFFERS!! I’d buy a 4-pack of little ones. So handy to keep in the coat bag, in the brush box, in the pocketbook. Oh I love it. How about a 4-pack of little balms too? Or a 2 pack, one little soap and one little balm? Or one big soap & one big balm? Or one big soap & one little soap? Or one big soap & one big balm…Getting giddy, I’ll stop…
For gift packs, I’d suggest a jar of soap, a jar of conditioner, and a fancy sponge (maybe a sea sponge) all packaged together with the two jars one atop another and the sponge on top in a celophane sleeve bag tied up with ribbon.
I like the sampler pack idea. Or maybe call it a “Spread the Tack Cleaning Addiction” pack since I know I want to give out about 10 little jars as gifts to people
I like the sampler pack, too. The hardest part of ordering, for me, was anticipating which scent I would like best–and even worse, what scent my trainer would like best. I know her pretty well, but scent is such a personal thing.
I also love someone’s idea to split the sampler pack into stocking stuffers. I bet those would be a popular bulk order by BOs or trainers looking for a good Xmas gift for clients.
Yes a sampler pack would be great! I also can’t decide which scent I would like and as a gift it would be perfect!
Two thoughts for Christmas shopping. One is, as VXF suggested, a 3-pack of regular size balm, soap, and a nice sponge. The other is a 4-pack of sample sizes, one of each scent currently available.
If these become available in maybe the beginning of November and keep available through January you may hit some associations’ year-end prize time also.

I need to have “addicted to tack cleaning” t-shirts made, or something
Thank you for all of the ideas!!
Libby[/QUOTE]
Did you get any info in the mail from my sister (her company is Austin Ad Group)? She could easily have these done up for you with your logo.
ETA: You could have shirts/promo items made up to include in your Christmas orders.
Bensmom, you should start up a Cafepress shop! Tshirts, stickers, etc., to advertise! You could even do a little contest, asking people to come up with slogans or designs, and if you pick someone’s slogan/design they get a free tshirt or something.
We actually have a cafepress shop sort of started, but we don’t have many items up yet – maybe we need to expand it!
On the Etsy site, I got a lovely comment that someone got compliments on their tack from GM, and it was only treated with my balm.
O M G – we got props from GM! So. Excited!!
Also, soon to announce the new scent . . . .
WOW!!! Atta girl, Libby!! Now, you need to make a meme with your soap and something like “Higher Standards Custom Leather Care exceeds even The Great GM’s standards” or “The Great GM might disapprove of your gimmicky stirrups, but he will praise your gleaming Higher Standards-cleaned tack” or something like that on it.
Congrats!
jumps on your shadbelly tails
Higher Standards Leather Care: Max Corcoran tested, George Morris approved.
You guys are too funny! I love it!
I just realized that I own more bridles than I do jeans. That’s a lot of your soap I’m going o be going through… ;). (As I cleaned two bridles tonight!)
Hey, we LOVE to hear that!!
And, for anyone that was interested in unscented – I finally listed the unscented as available on the Etsy shop.
Now, once I write up the October special scent, we can have the BIG reveal!!
