They are very likely already all gone. There was only 1 jar remaining when I left last night at 6pm. I won’t be back for a few days and I doubt it’ll make it. If it does, yes, I will.

I missed the lemon scent, too. I sent money up with one of our barn moms who was going up to watch the trainer’s daughter in the lead line… and she found supervising four kids around the show grounds to be slightly more important than the soap. I can’t imagine why. :lol:

Today, I used a different saddle soap. I know, I KNOW!! I didn’t mean to, but it was there and it was aroma-therapy flavored and I used it. Then I saw my Higher Standards looking at me with, you know, that look.

A donation in memory of L. Williams’ horse, Carlos has been made to the Thoroughbred Retirement Foundation. To honor that donation, we’ve named our latest summer scent after her horse Carlos. As Señor Prospector, he raced; as Sueno, he competed on the A Circuit; and as Carlos, he found his match in his owner and rider. We know that a horse is never just a horse and the relationship is never one-sided. This soap was named to honor this amazing horse and to remind us that relationships live on, as his spirit will live on with the impact he made on his partner and all those that had he privilege of working with him. Dudes, if you’re on the fence about buying the lemon scent…it is GOOD. An awesome fellow COTHer nabbed some for me at Devon and shipped it to me, and it’s delicious. It’s sweet and mild, sort of like a lemon chiffon cake or a light lemon pound cake. Very different from Woody’s Confidence Blend, but in a good way.
I have TOO MUCH SOAP! Lol, I need to clean more…
I am thrilled that my local tack shop has started carrying Higher Standards soap! I go the “Special Edition” scent, and it is lovely.
Used the conditioner on a used saddle today that has been sitting for a few years. I love knowing that the saddle will be amazingly soft tomorrow without a hint of residue.

Sad days…I can now see the bottom of my jar of Rosemary Mint! I’ve had it for about a year and it’s been used nearly daily on bridles, saddles, and girths (oh my). It’s kept everything looking beautiful! I still have quite a bit left but it might be time to order a new jar. And I LOVE lemon…

A barnmate and I sent one of the barn moms up to Devon with saddle soap money, and she ended up being unable to bring back the soap on account of having had four children to keep from mortal peril at the show (and they’re good kids so we would miss them!); so we are very happy to see the scent available online!
Do we think that the lemon will be a permanent addition, Bensmom? It is definitely my favorite. I nabbed 2 at Devon - 1 for me and 1 as a special present for DD who showed at Devon for the first time this year and has been a Devon Lemon Stick junkie since she was a wee child.
The scent is kind of like an expensive perfume - if it’s not going to continue to be available I will use it sparingly and use my other HSLC scents on a regular basis. But if I know I can get more I will use it with utter abandon!
skyy – watch this space for information on that very thing to come in maybe a week or so? For now, all I can tell you is that it is the special edition scent for this month, and we don’t plan to add any other permanent scents to our online availability, but, well, just keep an eye out for announcements
