Stalking for black Friday coupons. Can’t wait!

Question!! I’ve been a dedicated HS client since it first became available. I love, love, love it and have turned many barn buddies onto it as well. My question is - the barn setup where I board is old school and a little oddly designed so the only hot water we have is from an electric kettle that blows the breaker half the time. With winter coming, I’d rather not have to deal with getting water at all. Has anyone ever melted some of the saddle soap and put it into a spray bottle with a mixture of water? So then it’d be a spray, and you spray and wipe it off with a dry cloth. Do you think that would work, Bensmom? It would be REALLY convenient if there were HS wet wipes, but boy does that make me lazy sounding. When it’s crazy cold and we don’t have an insulated tackroom, every minute counts!

Hmm, interesting question! We don’t run into this problem much in Florida – I mean, it gets cold, but not cold like y’all have up north. I have never tried this method, but what would worry me about it, is that at least in human preparations, you shouldn’t use water without an anti-microbial added. So, I don’t know if added water would, as it sat over time, make it more likely that you’d get moldy tack?

I’m sure it wouldn’t though, as it will be too darn cold to grow any mold or mildew! But, there are oils in the soap, so I know you’d have a problem with suspending it in water without an emulsifier. I’m sorry I’m not more help!

That makes sense about the mold in warmer months and the oils not mixing well in water period. Oh well! It’s a free suggestion from a client anyway of a future product
well, two items! Saddle wipes and a spray

I recently purchased the Cinnamint soap and the sample pack. They all smell great! The soap cleans my tack wonderfully with little effort. My hands were not gross feeling or smelly after using the soap. I have some other saddle soap that just smells bad for whatever reason and some of them leave a coating that I don’t like.

I am going to use the conditioner/balm this weekend when I have more time, but so far I am impressed and wish I had bought sooner! My bridle looks great from a quick cleaning in the freezing weather!
