The website lists the Canadian retailers here: http://hsleathercare.com/find-it.html
And the Lemonaid scent is exclusive to Jeffer’s presently – I am sorry that it is so difficult to ship it to Canada

Yippee! Just ordered a combo pack with Sugar & Spice, and a Cinnamint as well. I missed the holiday scents last year so I’m so excited to be able to try them this year!
Freezing Canuck question: My vanilla lavender soap has gone kinda funny insofar as it has hard little white balls throughout, kind of like part of it separated? It still works, but the balls don’t really break down/absorb so I keep getting them stuck in the crevices of my tack. Other than keeping the products in a warmer location (meaning I would use them less frequently… not what I’m after!) is there any way to stop this from happening or to fix it? Has anyone else run into this issue?

Geez, guys – no idea why the soap is getting going granular in the wilds of Canada!
I haven’t had that problem with it So, I’m afraid I’ve got no ideas or suggestions :(
FWIW, I use Bit Butter on several horses. When it cools down in late fall, my jar does the same thing. It loses the creamy, easy-to-schmear consistency and feels almost gritty. But when it warms up on the horse’s lips/skin, it seems to soften and ‘melt’ as usual. Bensmom, these are the ingredients in Bit Butter, if that helps your sleuthing:
Beeswax
Jojoba
Peppermint Leaf Oil
Mango Fruit Butter
Cocoa Seed Butter
Shea Butter
Vitamin E
Soybean Oil
(And I love my order of HS goodies!)
Actually, the problem is with the soap and not the balm. I have seen the balm do just as you describe, but can’t think of what would cause the soap to do that.
I am up in Canada and my soap hasn’t gone “funky”. But it is kept in my house and not anywhere else.
I use it on my Dubarry’s, and show people before and after pictures when I am working at the tack store on weekends…it is a pretty easy sell for us even with the exchange rate!
Wow! Thanks, uncanny580! I love to hear that people are happy with it!
Bumping this because I pulled out my conditioner for the first time in a while and it was as good as the day I got it (from when this thread pretty much started).
It is an absolute dustbowl around here from the crazy wind and sandy footing and my leather was feeling the burn. The conditioner softened it all right up.
Amazing stuff, Bensmom!
Inquring minds want to know - are we going to be able to buy minis and the inimitable Cinnamint this year??
I hope so! I’m running low on my Cinnamint and I absolutely love it.
I guess I mistakenly thought she had gone out of business.
Gee I hope not!
Her items are still listed on her site, Etsy, and riding warehouse - but usually there have been holiday items right now and she hasn’t answered this post or an Etsy inquiry.
I hope not too! This is by far my favorite saddle soap, and favorite conditioner too!
YIKES!! NO!
We are not out of business!!
I don’t always get notice of Etsy emails/convos – in fact, our website is the best place to shop. And tagging me here didn’t get any kind of notification either. Weird.
I’ve been out of pocket transporting rescue terriers this week, so haven’t been scanning the forum. Sorry!!
BUT, I don’t know if I can make my website do a Black Friday sale or not, for next week. I’m so website un-savvy!
So, Black Friday coupons may only be on ETSY. So confusing.
But, yes! Special Editions will be back next week!
And mini gift packs. I ordered all the supplies for those and they came this week.
And, as always, thank you guys for the kind words. We are still here!
Well, that’s a relief! I mean I’ve been wondering all day if I was going to have to go back to saddle soap hell.
Well, we definitely DON’T want that!!!
Tomorrow, I gotta figure out the coupon situation . . .
So relieved everything is alright and looking forward to my black friday order
This may be an off the wall question, but Bensmom just might know the answer, or be able to recreate the scent, if the name triggers a memory of the scent. In the 1960’s, there was a saddle soap in a container, name was Thorochem. It has the most wonderful fragrance. I do not know how to describe it, but I imagine that anyone who ever used it remembers it. Whatever that scent was, I loved it, and wish I could find something that smells similar. Does anyone besides me remember that stuff?
Didn’t want to scroll through all 80+ pages
What is the correct name to look for in Etsy?
I believe the shop name is HigherStandardsFarm
