Best barn shoes for fall/winter teaching

So you all had the best suggestions on a fall/wet weather jacket that I am back again. We live in an area that sees a lot of rain, and temps that mostly stay in 40s and 50s through most of winter. I have a pair of muck boot co. Boots that I adore, but hate how clunky they are. I usually teach in sperrys though spring and summer but they arent waterproof and i have worn through more pairs in the past year than ever before. I do have a nice pair of Dublin knee high barn boots that I wear to shows and out and about town, but they are a little tall and clunky for my taste for every day use.

I’m looking for
*a comfortable all-around shoe to teach, coach at shows, and do general barn chores in when it’s relatively dry(ish).

*Something easy to slip in and out of (doesnt need to be tall, I change into muck co boots for the heavy mud and rain!)

*preferably not paddock boots

*something semi-stylish and warm(ish?) for standing around at the in-gate and at shows in…bonus points if it is lightweight and/or somewhat waterproof…

any suggestions very much appreciated!

Sorel has some stylish and functional low boots and street shoe options.

My favorite all-around shoe for this would be the Ariat Terrain, but since you already know the brand fits you well, you might like Sperry’s duck boot options.

Blundstones might fit the bill too, though I guess they’re technically paddock boots.

Clarks Waterproof Muckers. The very best.

I’ve had these for 5+ years. Still on my original pair and they rock! You can wear a thicker sock for warmth. Super comfy, feet never get wet. Also great for walking through wet grass in the paddocks.

I got my dubarry kildares for just this! I also have a pair of chelsea boots (blunnies) that are great when I need to just pop on something real quick. There is absolutely no support in them though - when these ones die, I’ll probably order the next size up and get an insole.

I was going to suggest Dubarry as well, t hey have a variety of different boots and styles, I love them. They last forever, well worth the money.

Ditto Dubarry Kildares. Mine are at least 10 years old and still look great. Comfortable, warm, waterproof, easy to get on and off. I can’t say anything bad about them except the price and they are well worth the price.

Thank you so much everyone! I will check all of these out!
