Looking into back on track, WoofWear, and E-shock…what are your recommendations?
I really like the Veredus Olympus boots. The next time you watch a Show Jumping GP look at what the horses have on, you’ll notice that a lot are wearing Veredus boots. If they’re good enough for the pro’s they’re good enough for me, plus they hold up really well to everyday use and I can throw them in the wash with my saddle pads to make them look like new for competitions. They do sell them with all 4 in one pack which is a little cheaper than buying the fronts and backs separately.
I still like my Eskadron Boots. Open fronts and hind ankle boots.
Another vote for veredus but the vento boots. Most people don’t realize that heat buildup in the legs is actually a bigger concern than protecting tendons from impact. Once the legs reach 118 degrees the tendon cells begin to die which is irreversible damage. A horse galloping for just 10 minutes will heat the legs up to 118. Now imagine how much faster that happens with a boot. Anything I can do to keep the legs a little cooler with a boot on I’m going to do
I love my Veredus Vento boots. I have some for showing and some for daily wear. They are tough, don’t heat up the legs, have great strike protection, and clean up well.
I am assuming the neoprene of Eskadron Open Fronts don’t breath at all. I like the idea and agree, keeping the legs cool is important.
No they don’t. Most boots don’t breath at all. A key component boot manufacturers are missing
If you are partial to Eskadrons, they make a Flexi-Air model that has ventilation. I know a few people that have them, and if Eskadrons fit your horse (they look like pony boots on mine LOL) they are a good option!

Most riders I know/have worked for school in something like this
And show in something like this
Age dependent on the hinds. ie young horse classes limit the height/weight/type of fastenings of hinds.
But, while we do spend the money for the Veredus for show (and we only use them for show), we actually buy BR brand boots for schooling
Looks like they are available in Canada,

But they are much, much, much cheaper in Holland/Belgium.

They were also on sale last week for like 13 euro/pair for the fronts. And they are identical to the eskadron boots.
Not to hijack… but I think OP got some good answers and I would hate to start a new thread for something so similar.
I am looking for a ventilated option as well for my dainty WB. Like 15.2hh and proportionate legs aka the awkward size between typically being slighty too big for “small” sized options and a hair too small for “medium” sizes.
I love the Veredus and cant find much else with a similar technology and of the same or similar quality- but in both the splint boots and open voots VENTO version, sizes are only M or L.
I researched on here and did find a recent-ish thread about the veredus running big, but I am hoping maybe the VENTO line is diiferent since they do not even offer a size S…?
Does anyone have any experience or opinions?
I have a few different kinds of Veredus (two sets of Vento, another set of one of their older styles), in medium for my WB that also fit on a few spindly-legged TBs I ride. They all have decently long cannon bones, but the mediums might fit your horse- I haven’t found them to be larger than other boots. I also have some of the Eskadron Airs, and those might also work for you.
