So I am an extremely small human (5’0 with twigs for legs (I’m literally a size 000)) and I can’t find breeches at all that will fit me. After searching for literally years, the only breeches I have found that fit are tan Tuffrider’s (kids size) which are great, but I really wish to acquire a larger array of colors and they’re starting to get holes in them. I have a pair of Ariats that almost fit, but they’re so long that I can’t comfortably wear tall boots. Send help, I’ve been riding in jeans for almost a year and really want a more comfortable option. Thanks!
I’m your size too and have tried the following:
Tailored Sportsman Trophy Hunters: fit me in a size 22, but I can’t afford
Equine Couture: 24 fits me quite well, and these are not expensive.
Ariat: 24 is huge on me.
Tailored Sportsman Cotton Schooling Breeches: fit me in a kids’ 12, but I tend to go through the material in about a year.
My latest favorites that I’ve tried are the Horze breeches in a 22 - I got some on Ebay that cost me $49 a pair and the legs are too long, but they fit well otherwise, and the Smartpak Pipers in a 24, which is slightly too big, but belt-able (and I LOVE the cell phone pocket).
I’m a size 22 but I have some hips/rear, which further complicates breech shopping but I have a collection of around 15 (I only have a small problem :lol: ).
My favorites are Horze and Pipers. With both I buy the smallest size and then have darts put in the waist.
The newer technical fabrics help a ton. Older true cotton breeches are always going to be less flattering. With a few of those I’ve had them fully taken in down the entire leg but that can be cost prohibitive and create a bulky seam if not done correctly.
GhoDhos!!! They fit super small. I wear a TS kids size 16 and I’m a size 26 in Ghodho.
I am a pain to find breeches (heck… pants) for. I have a 25" waist and 33" inseam.
I love my GhoDhos (Size 26) as they are comfy and stylish. The only issue I have had is the knee patch has come undone once or twice… but nothing that a quick trip to the tailor couldn’t fix.
My go to will always be Tailored Sportsmans (16 or 24) however I am really liking my Tuscany breeches (24). The Tuscanys are a wee bit cheaper but great quality.

Ditto the Horze 22s! I would also try Irideons if you need technical hot/cold weather breeches. They have a pretty big overlap between their children’s and adult’s sizes, so you should be able to find a size that will work.

Tailored Sportsman Trophy Hunter: size 14 child
Equine Couture: size 14 child (a little long but not uncomfortable at all)
Piper Kneepatch Breeches by SmartPak: size 24R (comes up a little higher than regular low rise but still very stylish and comfortable)

I share this struggle - I’m 5’1 on a good day and super narrow. My life is a quest for breeches that fit.
The best I’ve found is Tailored Sportsman Trophy Hunters in a 22R, which is equivalent to a kids 12 - lots of smaller ladies buy the kids cause they’re a few bucks cheaper. They do wash and hold up great, a few pairs will last you a while.
Equine Couture in a 24R definitely fit me, but I’m not crazy about the material.
Kerrits XS also work for me in some styles - the Performance Tights are a good casual option and their fleece breeches are amazing in winter. The Crossovers run big in the leg, which is a shame because I like the more traditional breech styling.
Total no-gos for me are Ariat, Tredstep and Pikeur - their 22s and 24s all drown me.
The Smartpak Pipers in 24 were too big for me, but now that they’ve introduced a 22 for spring I might have to try again!

My daughter is your size - wore tailoreds kid size 12 long - then moved to the adults size 22 - now in the kids 14 long
The struck breeches seem to fit petite people well - she wears a 22
The European brands also fit well, but can be quite pricey.
