ISO coat under $400…
Wondering if anyone has personal experience with either of the horseware coats that come in brown?
I just looked at the Horseware website and the only coat I see that comes in brown is the Motionlite. If that is one you were considering, I’ll say that I don’t have it but I’ve been eyeing it for a while and have tried it on a few times. I really, really liked it when I tried it on and the colors are gorgeous. However, I’m quite tall (5’11) with long arms and I felt like it fit me quite well so I think it might run pretty long and might need some tailoring for someone petite. I have a few friends that have them and they really like them and they have held up really well it seems.
In case it is one of the ones that comes in brown, maybe through a different website, I do have the Horseware Competition Jacket in grey and I really like it. It is comfortable and I think it looks nice and is super for the price. I would say it is shorter than the AA jacket.

I also have and love a Kerrits Koat in a medium brown color called “Colt.” It’s not the current “updated” version, however. The new models don’t seem to be offered in that color. The size small fits me nicely (5’3+", 117 lb, 34B bust). The sleeves are a little long, but that’s a very easy fix.
I’m 5’1" and short torsoed, and most show jackets are too long waisted and bunch between my waist and shoulders due to too much material.
I have a Pikeur Saphira in brown which fits perfectly. I purchased from Calevo, and in today’s exchange rate it would be $240.
Also, Jo from SE Sporthorse makes custom and it may be within your price range. I intend to get some shade of blue from her after seeing what size I settle at after current health stuff happening.
I haven’t tried the motionlite but my trainer and I both have the regular competition coat (in blue) and we’re both 5’1" with petite proportions (I’m busty and she’s slim and it works for both of us) I added a hidden zipper behind the button placket for a little smoother fit but lengthwise it works. I also had to shorten the sleeves but that’s normal.
