Best Cat Brush

…for a cat that doesn’t like being brushed. This cat sheds more than any cat I’ve ever had and I’m done with the hair everywhere. He will put up with being combed with a flea comb along his back and sides for about a minute before he starts biting. He doesn’t mind the old dog brush I have but it doesn’t seem to grab much hair. So I’m looking for something that really gets the hair and doesn’t annoy him.

He’s mostly a sweetheart who cannot get enough lap time but can also be an asshole…basically Simon’s Cat in the flesh.

Thanks

The best comb and detangler I’ve had for my semi-longhaired cats was a rotating pin comb. Each of the tines in the comb were steel and would spin 360 degrees. That kept the comb from pulling or snagging even as I worked on some under ear knots. The cats loved it, but hated the slicker brush. The soft cat brush accomplished nothing.

This is the comb.

Not sure about the annoyance factor, but the Furminator has been a game changer for me.
Both my cats love it, and my short haired chonk with an undercoat no longer leaves ‘ghosts’ on the sofa. I’d brush them frequently but it never seemed to reduce the amount of hair. The Furminators are expensive but worth it, in my opinion.
