Now I know what folks are thinking but I’m a spry 62 year old nana and while I had a horse as a teenager I never had anyone to work with me. I own a 17 year old twh who’s a sweet boy a 6 year old rode stands for the mounting block which is great because he’s 17 h I am surprised to find I’m terrified I have a round pen 75’ but again nobody way out here to help me so I am looking at videos on balance and confidence too helpbut I’m confused as soma NY conflict anyone know a good training video or DVD for crazy old ladies that at determined to ride again what exercises in the round pen do I need to master before I head out to the pasture

You also might want to get someone to help you get started, even if they aren’t qualified to give lessons or serve as a trainer. It may help to have a ground person there just to hold the horse and lead it around the round pen for the first few rides.
