Best real cowboy boots?

good for the dollar paid: Justins.
I don’t like pull on boots anymore, not for riding and working in. Too dangerous in terms of rolling my ankles LOL…we live and ride on rough ground and I don’t like to worry about my ankles. My main riding boots are some lace up ladies boots from Georgia boot company. I’m on my third year in them, even though I melted the toes off 'em by a campfire. I call them my Natural Balance boots. They aren’t too grippy on the sole, they felt broken in from the start, and soft leather, softer than the comparable Justins.
here they are:

I love the crepe soled boots, completely agree that they are the hands down best for showing in, walking on concrete, and not too grippy to ride in (fat babys are a bad idea for riding in, like any lug-soled boot, TOO grippy).
Try a pair of Boulet, there are so many styles and lengths, and they are great in the saddle
Expensive, but such great quality. I have used mine for everything from riding to farm work to shopping and have no complaints. You’ll get many compliments!
I have these:

I found they run about a half size large, so keep that in mind.
I don’t know if you’re looking for real western boot boots or just boots you can wear with western tack. I really love my Justin boots. I actually wrote a quick little review of them today before I saw this thread. They were only $70 or so. They are super comfy too.

I like the comfort of lace-ups while riding but not for walking around camp or heaven forbid walking down the trail b/c my horse broke down. My boots are packers though and have a riding heel.
I put thousands of miles on my ariat ropers in the mountains until they wore out and my next pair of boots will be the same. They were more comfortable than any laceups I’ve had… and I have had to walk my broken down horse out a few times.
Technically a cowboy boot is supposed to have a heel and be loose so it will come off if you get your foot through a stirrup… I always feel a little edgy riding in a lace-up.
I have some Ariats that are ok. They are comfortable enough. They have been worth through the mud and everything else. Hubby just bought me a new pair for my birthday but I haven’t worn them yet…they are gorgeous but their comfort I am uncertain of. They are Corral’s and I got them at Cavender’s.
I have Ariats (as well as all of my english boots, lol) and I absolutely LOVE them. I can ride for hours, or walk around in them all day, and they are SO comfortable. I forget the exact type, but I think they may be Ariat Legend…
