Best electric fencing (netting) for goats/ducks Looking for good value and durable

Needing to keep new ducks safe from predators. Ducklings will arrive end of April/start of May. Will be indoors for first few weeks. When they move outside, they will be locked up in welded wire dog cage at night (lined with finer wire like hardware cloth). But want to electric fence their “yard.” We have coyotes and foxes in these here parts. Thanks in advance for input. I also have two goats who I am hoping can live with the ducks (will of course have to see how it goes).

Another vote for Premier1.
I’ve used it for my hens, and am on year 3.

I’m also a fan of Premier products. A word of warning with ducks & electronet – I’d advise running it around the outside of some kind of physical fence like welded wire or even chicken wire or netting. Ducks’ bodies are front loaded, if that makes any sense. I had some that managed to slip thru the electronet into the jaws of the neighborhood foxes. Even worse, another got stuck halfway through the fence & died :frowning: Only a problem with ducks. Have had thousands of chickens & never an issue with them.

Despite the loss of the ducks, I’m still a big believer in electronet. Just keep in mind that it is intended to keep predators out & not your birds in.

Another vote for Premier1 . I use their Horse Quick Fence to divide paddocks, and their other electric netting for turkeys. It didn’t work well for chickens, who just fly over it! (I guess I could clip their wings…) Call them and they can recommend something for your application.

Yup! I just clip the flight feathers on one wing. The current crew is pretty territorial & stays inside it by themselves, though.
