"Best Equine Meds" SCAM!

Just want to warn everyone on here that the website bestequinemeds.com is a SCAM! I used to purchase Pentosan from racehorsemeds (similar to horseprerace) before they shut down. Their Pentosan was great, priced low, and my horse depended on it.

When searching for other options, I came accross bestequinemeds and thought I would give them a try. Their website looks very similar to racehorsemeds, and the Pentosan bottle is almost exactly the same. I thought they might even be the same company. However, the main difference is that you have to pay by wiring money and cannot use a credit card. They state they will ship your order after the money is sent. I orderd 3 bottles of Pentosan for $300 and received emails with my order confirmation, new account created, etc. Everything looked legitimate and they were very prompt in emailing me and responding to all my questions until the money was received. After that, they stopped responding to my emails.

After sending an additional email asking for a tracking number 5 days after they picked up the money from Western Union, I received an email from a website called apexexpress247.com with a letter that included a tracking number for that site. They stated my order was in customs at JFK airport but I had to pay an additional $438 for a COVID-19 clearance certificate. When I tracked the package through the Apex Express 247 website, it showed my package had traveled from the Ukraine to JFK Airport. However, the Best Equine Meds website states they are located in Florida (which is where Racehorse Meds was located), and a $25 shipping fee had already been applied to my order. When I questioned this, they stated the certificate fee was refundable. When I said in that case they should pay for it, I got no response.

I just want to warn everyone not to use this website! It’s a HUGE SCAM!!!

There is another similar website called equinemedcare that has a picture of Pentosan that says Racehorse Meds on the bottle, which is exactly the same as the bottles I used to purchase from racehorsemeds. However, they also require you to pay by wiring money, so I suspect they could be a scam too.

I have reported this to the Crime Complaint Center, but I don’t know how long it will be before they remove this site from the internet.

Sadly too late here, but as a general rule never ever ever wire money to anybody you don’t know. There’s no getting it back. Good for you for catching on and not falling for their second request.

Great stuff, if you feel comfortable dealing with a company whose owner was indicted for drug fraud.

Direct from the Bestequinemeds website:

“We are 100% legit and efficient supplier of performance supplements for equine sports. We offer the best market prices and offer a huge discount for bulk buyers. Packaging and shipping are very discrete and bypass all custom or law enforcement. Delivery through regular and express airmail within 2-3 business days from dispatch.”

It boggles the mind that anyone would consider this operation to be trustworthy.

Oh, additionally, if you created an account on their site with a username and password that you use anywhere else online, I would recommend changing all of those other passwords immediately.

You seriously bought something off that monstrosity? I wouldn’t dream of putting any substance bought off of a website like that into one of my horse’s body. You are lucky you just got scammed, at least it didn’t kill your horse
