My pinto has a pink muzzle and has already had cancer on his ears once. I’m looking for a fly mask with an extended nose and ears for UV protection. He rough houses with his friends a lot, so one with strong velcro is necessary. Does anyone have any recommendations?
I really like the Uviator. It was the highest UV mask with an extended nose that i found at a price point where I wouldn’t cry if it got shredded. Mine is going on a year of regular use with no signs of wear.

Same thing here. Bald faced, blue eye, pink muzzle etc. I use Cashel’s Crusader with a long nose. I’ve found it helpful that I went down a size though, as my horse was super uncomfortable breathing with the fly mask nose over her nostrils.

My pink-faced pinto had to wear one. The Rambo Plus with the long nose fit the best around the eyes. However, the nose flap hung down over his nostrils. He didn’t seem to care, but he’s get lots of mud/muddy snot when he wore it. Then we tried the Cashel Crusador with the long nose. It didn’t hang quite as low, which was better, but the fit around the eyes was closer than I’d like.
I have an elderly horse with eye issues so the vet wanted him in a black mask. We tried the Absorbine fly mask with ears and detachable nose piece and loved it!. The darts keep the mask from touching the eyes, the ears are soft and the nose flap stays firmly attached even when he is playing with horses in an open herd of 40 horses.
