I need a saddle under $1,000 that will fit a fat, wide haflinger. As I said, she is fat and overweight right now with not much muscling. I want a saddle that is either adjustable or has good resale value so I can resell it and buy a new one once she slims down and muscles up. I need an 18" seat and would prefer an all purpose saddle because we dabble in a bit of everything.

Not sure of all models, but many Haffy owners rave about Duett around here.

second the duett - they go to VERY wide, and the cob dressage model is VERY flat…if you are interested in a 19" pm me.

I’ve had success with the general purpose Wintecs using an xWide gullet. They also have their REALLY wide models (up to 3x wide I think), but I haven’t needed anything wider than the extra between our Haflinger, Fjord, Percheron and Belgian.
