So I ride in a 16W, which rarely perfectly fits a horse. I’ve started exercising people’s horses for them and I’d like to use my saddle to ride in…so my question is: what’s the best half pad out there for my kind of situation? Would I be better off buying a few different ones with different padding, or would i be fine with just having one with lots of padding? The horse I used to own fit the saddle perfectly so I never worried about fit until now! Thanks in advance!

I would choose one of these shimmable pads. They were the top choice of the saddle fitter that I had for making small adjustments to the saddles that we had for multiple horses. One helpful thing would be to have a saddle fitter come out and show you how to shim the pad with your saddle on differen types of horses.
