Best hay carts?

I have seen the Rubbermaid lawn carts that Home Depot lists on their website, I am looking for exactly that but bigger! Ideally I could have two bales of hay inside the cart side by side. Does such a cart exist? I have had no luck in my search.

Thanks!

I use my rubbermaid cart and just stack the bales. Curious to see what responses you get here about wider carts!

Ditto to Simkie… Carefully stacked, it’ll take 4 squares.

I prefer tools that do more than one job. That Tough Cart fits the bill. I’ve moved everything from hay & manure, to water tanks & a tack closet.

We feed two types of hay, so being able to have both hays accessible as you go down the aisle would be great. Really hoping there is a wider version out there!

I have one of these carts:

I easily fits 2 bales side by side if you put them on the narrow (cut) side of the bale. It also hooks to a lawn tractor to move all kinds of stuff around.

I’ve used one like this: https://goo.gl/images/Ha3cUo

It fits two bales side by side, cut side down (so you need a knife to cut the bales, vs. scissors), and it’s super maneuverable. It did get pretty beat up eventually, but we quite liked it. We’d stack 4 bales on it at times.

The Vermont cart was fantastic when I was managing a 14-horse barn. The large wheels let you traverse bumpy ground without tearing your shoulders off, and I could get 4 bales in one trip. Not cheap but it stood up to a LOT of use.

But it does want to be stored under roof, given the wood sides. If you need to be able to park it outside the barn most of the time, then one of the rubbermaid type carts would be better.
