My horse gets a course of Adequan every 6 months and also just got some needed joint injections. I’m looking for an inexpensive joint supplement that will simply serve to help support him on a day to day basis between Adequan and injections. I currently have him on pure MSM. I had him on Devil’s Claw Plus for about a month, but after hearing stories of Devil’s Claw promoting ulcers in nervous horses I took him off of it. TIA!
I would try this:

Plus if your horse doesn’t like it or if you don’t, they will give you your money back on it.
SmartFlex III worked wonders on my arthritic horse, and I currently have my new one on SmartFlex II. Can’t go wrong with either. I would suggest using SmartPaks comparison tool, where you can see the levels of therapeutic ingredients, as well as price. When I did this, the SmartPak brand supplements were the best bang for your buck, but your needs re: ingredients may be different
I use Smartpak senior flex for a 20 year old doing great 3rd level stud.
I use one called Supreme Top Form. It’s much cheaper than other brands and my vet recommends it to any horse that’s rehabing. It’s independently tested and really concentrated. I’m also doing Adequan for my horses on top of this.

Beyond MSM for its anti-inflammatory properties, count me among those who think that oral joint supplements aren’t worth the money. Mine, too us Adequan as needed and daily MSM.
