Well, the Absorbine Flex Max does seem to be helping my mare’s minor hock arthritis. I broke down with all the sales over the weekend and bought a bucket of Cetyl-M to try on my gelding. If that doesn’t produce miraculous results and/or he won’t eat it, I’m going to try the Cosequin ASU Plus. If that fails, he’ll just be staying on the Flex Max
My mare gets any leftover supplements that he won’t eat. For the record, Mirra-Coat, while cheap, made her INSANELY shiny this summer and I really should order some more for her. Picky old gelding wouldn’t touch it.
Horse’s age: 21-22
30 grams of MSM, and 1 tablespoon (15 ml) of Lubrisyn HA. He’s moving great!
HJdaydream- no script necessary. its kinda sketchy but the pentosan works. sorry i havent been on here in a while

I am really interested in MSM, but have heard so many anecdotal accounts of it making horses spooky or reactive that I’m a little leery. Maybe those horses were just finally feeling good? Any thoughts?[/QUOTE]
i have never heard of this. my horse can be rather hot, and i noticed 0 difference with the msm. even on 4 months of stall rest it did not make him any hotter or spookier.
