Can any one recommend a nicely balanced, easy to crack longe/lunge whip?

Any opinions on Long shaft w/ shorter lash OR short shaft /w long lash?
I never put much thought or tried different ones. I have always bought a 72 or 60 at Tractor Supply for $20. For me they get the job done just fine.
Once the horse knows the drill it doesn’t take much encouragement from the whip to get them going and doing what’s asked.
I always buy a bright colored one having lost a few black/dark colored if left in the grass and forgetting to retrieve it before the grass covers it and then getting chewed up by the mower.
Or leaving next to the trailer after loading a silly horse and not noticing before I drive off.
Have a tendency to forget them at other farms anyway. My dogs seem to like to chew them up also. For $20 I don’t get too annoyed.
Fleck carbon fibre collapsible. I loves it. Not cheap, but imo, it was worth the money. Plus, since it collapses, I can keep it in my locker rather than leave it out in the general population.
I think the white ones give the horse a chance to see the lash coming at it.

You are not lion taming…no need to crack the whip. If you need to, then the horse is not trained to the whip.
I have not found a well balanced lunge whip for 30 years…the old Millers were good…now just buy cheap.

Agree with Gumtree, both on price & color.
My current whip is bright blue & at least 15yo.
I prefer about an equal length of shaft to lash & cracking is never an issue if you get the correct flicking motion - no strain on your wrist & you don’t need a gunshot, horses can hear a soft crack just as well.
This whip for $19.95 is the greatest lunge whip ever. EVER. Beats out my Fleck even. Every. Single. Person. who picks it up asks where I got it. Super light weight (doesn’t strain my forearm at all…you barely notice you are holding it) Very balanced. Great flexibility and crack. And so cheap!!! Mine is 5 years old and still going strong. Can’t recommend it enough!
