Best non-colors breeches for men

Husband hunted for the 1st time last season. We bought some Ovation breeches (his 1st breeches ever). I am not crazy about the way they look on him. He is not skinny, and I think he would look better in a slightly relaxed fit and a better-quality fabric. I looked in some previous posts and saw some general mentions of Tuffriders. Any suggestions? Like I mentioned in the post title, he does not have his colors. Thanks!

Try a more relaxed fit like polo flares.

I know Horse Country has them, but I can’t remember the brand.

You might also try What Price Glory - they make reproduction cavalry britches in wool khaki - the price is great.

I know I know more places to get them - but I just can’t remember the names. If I think of them I’ll post back.

Here ya go!

Platinum Tough Rider Patrol breeches. Dover carries them. Good Price. Very durable. I’ve been hunting in them for years.

Thank you, both! I like the look of the Tally Ho Athens. There is a pair at a tack store near me (I just called) that are major on sale. They are a size larger that what he wears, but I am going to try them - you never know, fit can be different from brand to brand. If those don’t work, we will try the Patrols.

I second the Tough Rider Patrol breeches. My father loves them - he’s not a fan of anything that “touches” him when it comes to clothing. They are a nice heavier-weave fabric that holds up very well.

If only they came in rust! Finding breeches he likes is like the Princess & the Pea.

I second the Tally-ho Athens breeches. I’ve used them for years, and they are a more relaxed fit, which I prefer also.

Great! Something should work between those 2 breeches. I do appreciate the help!
