I am looking to sell my 2 County saddles (1 jump, 1 dressage). Does anyone have a place they can recommend?

FB has a group completely dedicated to selling County Saddles - several of my friends have sold their saddles through that group. I was able to trade mine successfully there.

Right now I’m trying to decide between Middleburg Tack Exchange and Highline Tack. I think I read somewhere that Middleburg only keeps your saddle for like a month and then you have to come get it. I’ve requested a copy of the consignment contract though just to be sure.

I consigned two saddles at Middleburg Tack Exchange a few years ago and they sold within a month. I thought they priced them very fairly, and I received my check right when I should have. I can’t remember how long the consignment period was, though.
I also took a saddle on trial from them and it didn’t fit my horse, so I needed to return it. No problems at all, very professional interactions all the way around.
Another one you might try is the Galloping Grape. Kim is wonderful to deal with and I have never had an issue consigning with her.

I consigned with them last year and it was six months at that time. I was selling an unusual seat/tree combination and it took every bit of six months, plus a price reduction, to sell. When I called to lower the price, they extended my time to leave it there, but then it sold pretty quickly.
I sold a Stackhouse saddle through The Tack Box. I was happy with the price they chose to list it at, and I think it sold fairly quickly.
Bumping this back up to add a recent great experience with Highline - I consigned my saddle with them this summer, and it was a less common size/configuration, and it sold in a month and I had payment in hand the next day. Susy was easy to deal with and good with communication, and her commission was only 18% which was the lowest I found at any of the places I considered.

I ended up sending my 2 County saddles to Highline. The jump saddle sold after 3ish months. Susy has been wonderful to deal with- prompt, clear communication and when my saddle sold, I was paid shortly thereafter.
I was so pleased, I had another dressage saddle I had consigned elsewhere (for 4 years!) transferred to Highline to be sold.
Now someone go buy my dressage saddles :winkgrin:
