Best place to sell a tractor?

Need to sell a Kubota fairly quickly before we move and looking for best place to list a tractor for sale. Is there a specific site for tractors for sale? Do I take it back to the Kubota dealer and have them sell it? Craigslist?

ETA Tractorhouse.com pops up when I do a search for tractors for sale…any good?

Here people in that situation drop it at the dealer and they take care of selling it for a small commission.

Then you don’t have to worry about buyers coming by, tire kickers or timing with you needing to leave.

Not Craig’s list IME. Criag’s list in general is a PITA to sell stuff on.

As Bluey said.

Or put it on a busy road with a for sale sign. Put the price on it, year, hours etc. That’s how a lot of stuff gets sold around here.

Well, I called the dealer and they said they don’t typically do that and my best bet is Craigslist :(.

Too bad, our JD dealer has sold several tractors and implements for us.

If that is your only choice, I guess Craiglist it is.

Unless you follow the advice to park it with a sign where people see it.

I know, that would have made things so much easier! I have to move the horses before I can park it on the side of the road (I still need it daily) but was really wanting to avoid craigslist. Last time I tried to sell something on there I was only harassed by scammers, don’t think I had one real person contact me. I don’t have facebook, but I suppose I could have someone list it there for me as well.

Do you have a local equipment auction?

Or an agricultural Facebook group that’s local to your state?

Our local feedstore has a bulletin board with tractors and other farm related items listed. They seem to move quickly. We also have several local FB groups where people post things for sale and they also seem to move quickly. Good luck!

I absolutely agree with Lucassb – feedstore, local FB group, local horse trailer dealer too!. Perhaps when you have a good responder, you can write up a brief agreement which will let you use it until your moving day. NOT Craigslist.

Thanks, all! Sold it in under 24 hours on our neighborhood app to a guy in our neighborhood. Doesn’t get easier than that!!
