Best place to sell higher-end used boots?

Looking to sell a few pair of higher-end used boots. I’m not sure where to sell them. I notice Ebay doesn’t have a lot of bidders on boots. Should I look anywhere else? I do not have Facebook. :frowning:

TIA

FB english tack for sale. Has a LOT of members and that stuff sells fast if you price it right.

Get someone else to post it for you and make sure you take paypal. Truly you’ll sell them so quickly it’s almost worth signing up.

Thanks, I may need to use someone’s account on FB to help me.

Is it this one? Or another? (Thanks!) https://www.facebook.com/pages/English-Tack-supplies-and-horses-for-sale/251047834942849

ETA I think not. That is not a very big FB page. I will keep looking. Or does anyone have a direct link? TIA.

Search “English Tack Trader” or “English Riding Apparel” on FB. Should bring up some larger groups.

A few tips to help you out whichever site you try:

  • Have a few good photo or two with decent lighting so you can see the condition of the boots. Include closeups of any blemishes and any markings inside the boot (maker, sizing)
  • All the maker/model and sizing information you have - especially good to have conversions to US sizes if in EU sizes.
  • I have noticed that items with free shipping seem to sell faster - it might be worth it to see how much shipping would be and include it in the price and offer “free” shipping
  • You will need PayPal to be safe, and lots of buyers won’t deal with sellers unless it is via PayPal

Good luck! I have found some great stuff on English Tack Trader and English Riding Apparel.

Is there a good tack store in your area with a consignment section? I’ve sold a few items, boots included, that way before and it takes very little effort on your part

There aren’t a lot of bidders on eBay because the sizing is to tricky. Make sure you measure height floor to top up the back, measure them around the fullest part of the calf, heel to toe, and side to side at the widest part of the sole.

If they are well presented in pictures, accurately measured, and priced reasonably, they will find a home on eBay.

Try craigslist also.
