We are thinking of moving to Arizona from Northern California to be closer to our son who lives in Southern Utah. Any suggestions on areas that are active in eventing?
Flagstaff holds a few events a year and there is also a newer course in Tucson that hosts 2 rated events a year. I live in Tucson and love it here, but I know there are a lot more options of trainers in the Phoenix area.

I am planning to move to Tucson and hope to do low level eventing and dressage. The Southern Arizona Eventing Association has been most helpful with suggestions about trainers who belong to the group. If suggest contacting them and checking out their Facebook.

I’ve just recently moved to Scottsdale and ended up at a stable with a few lower level eventers and a trainer who’s eventing. It seems like a fun group. PM me if you’re interested in more info.
We have started to spend some time in the winter in Arizona. We stay in Wickenburg (hubby ropes) but I have been to a clinic at Carefree Farms in Cave Creek. They have a nice facility with dressage arenas, stadium arena and a cross country field. Great people. I also went down to the Tucson event and it seemed to be run very well.
