The leg straps on my horse’s blanket are a total PITA. I’d like to replace them with something that buckle is easy to do/ undo.
So, any recommendations for new leg straps?

If you can find somewhere to buy these, I have found them to be the best. They last forever and if the trigger snap gets a little sticky, all you have to do is spray a little WD-40 in it.

I just make my own… 100’ of braided cord from TSC for <$10 will make a TON of leg straps. I buy snaps from TSC or Lowe’s - usually ~$5 for a pair of snaps. Cut cord to length, melt ends to stop fraying, tie with a square knot to ring in front of leg, tie snap on other end with another square knot, and you’re done. Since the snaps are tied on, they are easy to replace if/when they do break. But, IME, my home-made straps/snaps far outlast the cheap “pot metal” snaps/hardware on most commercial leg straps.

Schneiders sells sets in different lengths. I like the clips on their leg straps.[/QUOTE]
I have bought these and used them and they are very nice at first but they just don’t seem to last. They stretch out permanently within about a year or so, or the snaps break, or deform. OTOH, I have some of the leg straps from Jack’s that are close to 15 years old!
Thank you! I ordered a set of the Jacks ones! Frustration be gone!
