It seems that my horses are currently in self-destruct mode. Where is everyone’s go-to online stores for things like cohesive bandages (like vet rap), non-stick gauze (like telfa pads) etc.?
I usually just buy them locally. At Farm and Fleet, or whatever. Most farm supply stores are going to have that kind of stuff in stock.
Try Walmart for the bandages. I usually use Big Dee for needles, syringes and some of the other misc stuff. You may just have to put in a general search to see who comes up the cheapest, as you can sometimes hit a sale.
Valley Vet. They are also very easy for your vet to call in prescriptions to, with good prices on Rx drugs as well.
I will shop online sometimes for things like boxes of Elastikon. The price varies. And Elastikon is usually a different price from the 3M version too.
Vetrap is usually cheap enough to get locally at the farm stores. And there is one hydrophilic foam dressing that I like to use for wound padding that I can only seem to find at one local farm store.
For boxes of syringes and stuff, I’ll price compare at Santa Cruz Animal Health, Valley Vet, Heartland Vet Supply. Sometimes the other supplies can be found cheap enough at Dover, Smartpak, Riding Warehouse, FarmVet, etc. I have also occasionally ordered a case of Vetrap from my vet which for that he would order for me at his cost. If you need that much, they are often willing to give you a break :).
