Best shed video camera

Hello! I would like to put a video camera in my horse’s shed for when I am out of town. I board my horse, so I can’t add wires to the place. Looking for the following:

  1. Can be used outdoors (it will be inside a shed, so it is going to be cold, and it might get wet)
  2. Battery powered & Cellular (no wi-fi)
  3. Live feed
  4. Video feed can be seen on smartphone

It doesn’t need 2 way audio or recording capability, and preferably no alarm sound.

Anyone recommendations? Thanks!

We have not used this product yet but have been reviewing it for a client’s application it does not send Live Video but * Only photos are sent to the mobile app (No live view) but the videos sent can be 10s, 30s, 60s and 90s

Product is compact, complete with mounting and incorporated solar panel (except required batteries)

You won’t find live feed over cellular. It’s too data intensive.

Best option is something like what clanter links. Note there’s a usually a monthly fee for unlimited images. SpyPoint offers similar–RUN away from their products. Google for complaints, they are numerous. I had a gawd awful experience.

Another option would be pairing a wifi camera, like Arlo, with a mobile hotspot. Would only be viable with SOLID 4G (preferably 5G) coverage, and would be $$$$, but would do pretty much everything you want. You’d need to purchase the camera, the hotspot, and pay the monthly data fees.

Arlo Go. I have two cameras, they work perfectly. My one has gone offline once since having it in two months, but I just jumped on the arlo support page and they did something that reconnects it. I can show you photos if you’d like. Has live feed as well as records. I’ve been dealing with a crazy boarder I don’t trust and it gives me peace of mind while dealing with her and knowing I can check on my horses any time. The arlo Go doesn’t need a home base, wifi, so no wires, since it’s cellular.

Also, to add, I bought both cameras used for whichever cell provider I needed (in my case Verizon) and only paid $125 & $140 for them. New they’re around $400, I believe. But my used cameras look and work as new.

Thank you! This is the one I have been looking into. Glad to hear that you have had a good experience with it. Pricey, but seems worth it for piece of mind.
