Best spray on coat conditioner?

Hello all!!

I am looking into good spray on coat conditioners!

My horses are working cattle horses, used on our feedlot between 6-8 hours a day with weekends off. It is hot in our area (already getting into the 100ds) so after any days work all horses are given a very good hose off after being walked out around the property.

Most of them have dry coats, and I am wanting something that can be sprayed on to help give back a little bit of moisture to their coats. It does not need to make them shiny or anything. Just give their fur some help ha.

They are on pasture 24/7 with alfalfa Am and Pm. No grains or anything added to their diets.

Any ideas or suggestions would be amazing!!

Thanks!!

We love to use spray on Olive Oil Hair Conditioner that you get at beauty supply stores, Walmart type stores or even the dollar store! Cheaper than products made for horses, smells good, works great! Also try the human creme leave in conditioners for tails or anywhere you want more conditioning.

Eqyss Marigold spray is my go to! (Not to toot my horn- OK to totally toot my own horn- I did a blog post about coat conditioners not to long ago: http://equestriandvm.blogspot.com/2015/06/brush-condition-shine-repeat.html)

Mane-ly long hair! Just bought it and so far we love it!

THIS!!!

Works wonderfully, its a concentrate, its CHEAP! I usually get the 16 oz for about $16 - and that makes at least one GALLON of spray.

I’m a huge fan of Vetrolin Shine - LOVE the stuff! I’ve also used a cattle product called Revive from Sullivan’s (https://www.sullivansupply.com/cart/tx/p-182-sullivans-revive.aspx) - I buy it at our local Farm & Fleet. It’s an aerosol (but comes out in a sort of foam) and not the best for showing because it attracts dust but like it for everyday use.

For coat I like the Marigold spray that one of the other posters mentioned. For mane and tail, I like the Mane-ly long hair mentioned.

I recently tried dreamcoat. Love! Smells great (lemongrass), you can apply it to the saddle area and it somehow leaves my piggy ( who loves to roll) shiny and clean. Now a favourite and worth every penny in my books!

Another vote or Healthy Hair Care!
