Best stirrups for ankle pain?

My ankles love to roll out when I ride. Gets very painful after a short time and I have to take my feet out of the stirrups every 10 mins or so. Currently using MDC Ultimate’s set at the 90 degree angle and the Super Comfort pads. Have heard good things about Free Jump stirrups but looking for any recommendations.

ETA: I also notice my toes start to go numb after about 15 mins of riding.

I love my Royal Rider Flex stirrups. They give just a bit but have a nice wide footbed. I have a bad hip and they make it tolerable to ride.

I used to have ankle pain while riding, and I got a pair of EquiWing aluminum stirrups. They aren’t jointed and have a wide footbed, which made a world of difference. I don’t think you would need to specifically buy THAT brand, but something with a wide footbed and no joints will probably work.

The EquiWing stirrups are ~$70 or so? So they’re pretty affordable compared to some of the more $$$ luxury brands.

I bought Rid’up stirrups. My ankles are happy. The safety release worked recently when I fell off. However they are not easy to retrieve while riding if you lose one.

The two stirrups that make me and my joints grateful are wide bed composites and Flex-On aluminums with an incline grip (which are also wide bed). They are at the complete opposite spectrum of price but they both work really well for me. I have the Flex-Ons on my jump saddle and composites on my dressage saddle, but I did jump in the composites for a couple years. I actually love the composites way more than I thought I would.
