Cat #2, Figaro, now has a prescription for Prozac to try and ease his cystitis. It’s 1/4 a pill once a day. However, said pill is NOT amenable to halving a half.
Any recommendations for a pill splitter that can handle a tiny, tiny half a pill?

Sounds silly but I often use my dogs nail trimmers. It’s a trick a vet showed me. They are sharp and as long as you can hold the sides of the pill gently it works.

I worked in vet clinical , feline only, and used a nail trimmer, It was a scissor type, not the larger guillotine dog type. You dont apply much pressure, just a little nudge

Yeah, trying to use a small knife resulted in each quarter ka-pinging opposite directions across the kitchen. Luckily the blue stands out and I found both pieces.
I have also had very good luck with the style that chestnutmarebeware uses.

The nail clippers I was referring to is called a White scissor nail clipper. Took my brain a while to find that old info. Empty gelatin capsules help make dosing those little fragments easier
